Hi everyone. We are getting close to the 180 day window for booking our ADRs and I'm concerned about getting a BOG dinner ressie. I have been randomly looking as far out as the system will let you right now and when I put in a search for our group (5) it usually only gives me 9pm or something around then. If I search for a group of 3 or 4 I get more options. I'm wondering whether it's best to wait until I can call to make a reservation the morning our 180 day window opens or if I should get online at midnight and just split our group into 2 smaller groups and then ask if they can seat is together when we get there. Thoughts? How have you all been successful at getting a ressie there? It's the only one I'm worried about.

Our 180 day mark was this morning. I logged on at 6:00 a.m. (I believe that's the earliest you can start - not midnight) and I was able to get a reservation for May 4 (180 days + 3) for a party of 4 for 5:40 p.m.
Good luck!

+3? I have never heard of that. What does that mean? Also, did you log on at 6 eastern time? Thanks!

We had 3 ADRs for parties of 4 (there were 12 of us). ADR times within 5 min of each other. We did not expect to be all seated together, but when we got there and checked in they said if we waited another 15 min they would seat us all together. Hope that helps!

I called exactly 180 days out at 6am central, and got exactly what I wanted. I didn't book online, because I was paranoid I would have a computer glitch...
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ March 2014:cool1:

I've been trying to book BOG for dinner since the minute I booked our December trip.. I was checking several times a day, driving myself mad. lol. I decided to leave it up to the fates...
Today for the first time in 2 weeks I thought I'd give it one more try... same no tables message twice, I refreshed the page & clicked one more time - SUCCESS!! We are having dinner at BOG the night we arrive! I'm so excited :)

Moral of the story.... Never give up! One persons cancellation is another persons dream come true! ;)

I got online right at 6 AM right at the 180 day mark (and I'm staying offsite, so it was really 180 from the reservation date), and got a 5:30 for 6 people. So it can be done!
:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! I have been trying to decide if calling would be better given how unreliable the website can be. I guess if I can call pretty early I will probably do that.

I made all my reservations online, I did have to make sure I was logged in and fiddle with it a bit bit it wasn't a problem at all.

I got BOG party of 4 at 5:15pm :)

If you have a resort reservation in the system (linked to MDE), you are supposedly able to book at 180+10. I had no problems grabbing BOG dinner reservations the one time I called at 180+10 (I could not book it online; some glitch made MDE not recognize my +10).

If you don't have a resort reservation, just log in online the morning of, as well as call when the phone lines open an hour later. If you're not extremely limited as to when you can eat, you should be able to get what you want for your party.

Your group is small enough that I don't think you'd need to split up. Try for table or 5 or 6, if 5 is giving you trouble.

Good luck!

Interesting. Maybe I will try to call tomorrow. We are within 180+10. I just tried to do it only through MDE and the DVC site but neither one allows me to go more than 180 days out.

This gives me a bit of hope...... sigh!

Even if you don't get exactly what you want initially just he persistent. We booked our trip less that 180 days out (the horror right?) and I just stalked the site a couple of times a day and eventually got the ressie I was looking for.

Keep trying! I only booked our December trip on CDN Thanksgiving weekend for the first week in December - I knew I was way off the 180 + 10 window for reservations & my selection was going to be limited. I really wanted BOG so my obsessive side took over... lol! I had to stop checking about 2 weeks ago because I was way overboard. Yesterday I tried on a whim - and there it was! I checked, checked, & rechecked to be sure I was actually seeing a time. I was also able to make 2 more reservations I had wanted but were not available earlier. Guess there are a few people re thinking their original plans right now.

(I may have just checked MDE again to be sure it's still in my confirmed reservations - it is ;))

One thing to note, they do seem to release more reservations for the following week. So it might be worthwhile to check about a week or two before arrival.

We also have a party of 5, and at BoG I made a ressie for 6 people and got what I wanted. Five just seems to be an odd number and there seem to be fewer tables for 5.

Tips: Do 180+10 (if staying on site), do 180 if not staying onsite, be flexible on day as some days fill up faster (if BOG is more important find a day it is open and then work the park based on that or use hoppers to help on that), and most importantly, be persistent in checking back. I have found that around 45 days out when people have to pay off packages that a few more openings come up so check around that time (+- 10 days of 45). Lastly, if you are more tech savvy, you can set up scripts that check for openings to do it for you.

Well I'm a crazy person. I was up at 6am eastern time today and was able to get our BOG reservation. It's at 4:30 which is kind of a bummer but that's ok. I called when the dining reservations line opened and there was nothing else all night. I asked about splitting into a group of 4 and 2 and the CM told me even if we could get reservations at the same time we wouldn't be seated anywhere near each other. I realize we can ask when we get there, but I'm not sure our group wants to take that chance. Anyway, at least we got a reservation! :-)
