I'll be away on a business trip while our PIF and online check-in day arrives on November 11th. I will already have paid in full, but my husband will be in charge of online registration and getting us tickets to the Star Wars characters, and more importantly the Jedi Training and early PAT. For our last cruise, we couldn't get the system to let us book activities until 3 am and by then all the Jedi Training spots were gone (luckily we did get spots for our boys by going to Guest Services once on board). Can someone point out how to get to booking those activities, Jedi Training and meets with the characters, as soon as possible? What tips or shortcuts do you have to make registation quicker? Which do you do first and where? Can you skip any steps and go back? We want Jedi Training first.

Thanks!

If you've been already, the good news is it should have all your data from last time in the system. What I did to "cut corners" was to make a spreadsheet (could just be a document) with all our info that would have to be typed in, such as passport numbers and birthdates and names. Then I copied and pasted them into the correct fields on the day of. That kept me from having to double check my typing, as I knew the copy was correct. Maybe saved me a minute, but then on I went.

Now I haven't been recently and I've heard some things have changed, but people used to say you could just put in things like "pay with cash" instead of a credit card number to blaze past that form and onward to the PAT. Also, before (not sure if this is still true) you could go to the excursions/events before actually signing in and choosing a PAT.

Another thing to remember... was last time your first cruise? If so, your Check in was the farthest away from any. All repeat cruisers sign in before the newbies. Once we were silver, I was able to get stuff I couldn't get as a new cruiser, like Palo brunch and my pick of meet and greets.

It seems that checking in has been opening up around 8pm so that at midnight it's all about booking experiences.

But even if the check-in doesn't open early, you can certainly do the experiences booking first. I did it 2 years ago when I was trying to surprise my parents with a cabana (which turned out to be a blessing that time only because my dad ended up having to have hip replacement surgery just after - but we can certainly do Castaway/Serenity Bay without one quite happily). Snagged the cabana, booked. Snagged Palo brunch, booked. Snagged Palo dinner, booked. The big key is to book/confirm after every thing rather than get them all "in a cart" and go. For some reason it doesn't really pull it from inventory until you click that confirm button. At least that's how it's been in the past.
