The table in our room is usually a mess during our stay, not dirty, just very cluttered, and I wanted to know where and how I should leave a tip for Mousekeeping, as it wouild probably get lost or go unnoticed on the table? Money in plain view? In an envelope? With a note? What do others do?

I just put the money under one of the glasses by the ice bucket. They always found it there.

We put it in the little card the housekeeper left with her name on it and tucked it under the edge of the mirror by the sink. ::MickeyMo

OK- I know I have too much time on my hands :flower: but we make the mousekeeping envelopes to leave money in our room. We leave the envelope on the unmade bed. It really doesn't take much time to do this and it's a nice way to pay for services.

There are different ways to make them. I find clipart that I like ( of course it's Mickey and friends! )- save it to my computer and then print it on envelopes. These are really cute and I find that the mousekeepers always respond with a thank you in writting or towel animals ect... I make sure that the envelopes have "Thankyou Mousekeeping" or some such phrase written on them in english and spanish. I know there are maids who speak different languages but I wouldn't know what other language to print  .

I usually leave the tip on the vanity in the room.

I too make Mousekeeping envelopes for daily tips, since you cannot be sure you have the same maid for the entire week. I tried leaving on the table day one and they missed it. So I started taping them to the mirror and they have not missed them since. :teeth:

P.S. - having them also written in Spanish is a wonderful idea, I never even thought of that.

I found that same suggestion somewhere when we went before I did the SAME THING! I thought it was such a cute idea!!!! My mom used to work in housekeeping, so I am very appreciative of people who work in this field.

I always left it on the nightstand. They always seemed to find it. ;)

Our kids made up an envelope for each day. They decorated them, and wrote on them in English and Spanish. We left the envelope on one of the kids pillows each morning.

I once used the envelopes with English and Spanish, and the mousekeeper never took them! When we left the tip in plain sight (out of envelope), they did. Go figure!

We make up envies with Disney stickers that say "Thank you Mousekeeping" ... had not considered doing it in Spanish as well as English. We usually leave the envie on one of the beds (straighten out the bottom edge so it is easy to see the envie on the unmade bed).

We always left ours on the phone. The mousekeeper has to call and enter a code that indicates that the room is cleaned, so it can't be missed.

We left it on the nightstand between the beds. I usually left a little note with it, and a couple of times got a very nice thank you back note from the mousekeepers.

Would someone please tell me how to say something for Mousekeeping in Spanish. At CSR there are alot of Spanish/Mexican/Latino housekeepers and I would think that it would be a nice touch to say something in Spanish.
