Tipping question

So, yesterday our house was packed and today the movers come to take it all away. My neighbor mentioned to me that I should be tipping the movers at the end of the day?? After 5 moves this is the first time I've ever heard of this. Have I been committing a major moving faux paux? Do you generally tip your movers?

I would like to know this also. We are having 2 guys come and help pack the truck on Sat. DH is driving the truck to SC.

I was thinking I giving each guy $20. We never used anyone before to pack the truck for us. My DH will be helping and me also.
