Tipping question for parties of 6 or more

This morning when I was making our ADR's, the CM told me that there is a new policy that for parties of SIX or more, an 18% tip would be automatically added to the bill. I questioned her on this, thinking it was parties of 8, but she stood by the 6. My question is, how does this work with the DDP? My sister and he husband will be with us the entire time, so we will be a party of six, and sometimes a party of seven. Can we spit the tip and go halvsies on our room cards or would we just have to take turns taking care of the tip?I'm guessing we'll just have to carry cash with us all the time if we want to slpit the tips. I wasn't anticiapting the automatic 18% tip and now I have no idea how to take care of it. Thanks for the advice! I'm probably making a bigger deal of it than it is.
