Little gifts and cards are also nice to have on you for that extra friendly bus driver who cheerfully interacts with tired guests at 3 am ..... so nice to be able to drop something in his hand on the way off the bus.
I gave them things like key chains, fridge magnets etc - all local stuff I got from our Tourist information place so they were pretty decent quality. I also brought shortbread and Scottish Border biscuits (pointing out of course that they were actually cookies, despite the name )
Entirely your choice, what you feel you want to leave. Mousekeeping is not a tipped position but also not a great wage. Many like to leave something for them, they would appreciate anything from $1 to $8, upto you.
Its one thing I don't tip for but many do.
Aren't you staying at SSR? I don't think DVC resorts are serviced every day. $8 per day would be pretty hefty over 3 weeks. You could always use the Do Not Disturb sign every other day otherwise if you felt it was better. I have a habit of making the bed when I get up and certainly don't need the place gutted every day. Remember to remove the sign if you are running low on loo roll though
They are serviced every day for anyone paying a nightly rate. Ours at OKW was last August booked thru Disney.co.uk on free DDP/42% off deal but DVC members don't get a daily service.
