Tipping Limo Drivers

After reading the threads concerning problems with Happy Limo Service, we've decided to switch to Fl Tours. Happy Limo figures the tip in with the price, Fl Tours does not. What do you feel is an appropriate amount to tip the drivers? Do you tip 1/2 the amount of a round trip fare since (I am assuming here) that you will get a different driver on the return trip?

I usually tip them 15.00 on a 70.00 limo ride...around 20 percent or so of the fare. You would tip each driver seperatly based on the price of that part of the drive.

ditto what aprilgail said -- we were very pleased with all three of our drivers from FL tours on our land/sea trip last year. the only bummer was we had to transport our luggage from the parking lot as only DCL buses are allowed a more convenient drop-off/pick-up

Thank you aprilgail2 and ohMom, that helps a lot. Since only Disney busses are allowed the convenience of dropping off luggage, I'll begin building up my arms for the inevitable trip from the limo to the baggage area!

Our towncar took us to the middle of the Disney Cruise terminal parking lot -- where there's a baggage check area. The towncar driver unloaded the bags, which were promptly taken by a Disney Cruise baggage service person. (Don't forget to tip for the baggage service.) The only things that we had to carry were our carry-ons.

20% is usually the going rate for gratuities and yes you would do it per leg of the trip.

I recently booked with FL to pick up up at the airport. Their site reads Cash only. Do you pay half when you are dropped off at the terminal and the other half when they take you back to the airport?

That's what the porters are for::yes::
