Tipping in 2007?

We are on the DDP this December, and are a party of 8. Is the tip still included or are we subjected to the automatic 18% anyways, due to the large party?

The tip is no longer included, and you have a mandatory 18% tip added to your bill. I'm in the same boat.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the tip is included until December 31 of 2007.

The tip is included in the DDP for parties checking in before the end of 2007. After that, the tip is no longer included but is automatically added to the bill for parties of 6 or more.

Thank you all for your replies...I know tipping is included in the 2007 DDP, but when I changed an ADR two days ago the CM told me that because we're a party of 8 there would be an automatic tip. I told her I thought it was "included" and she sad it was, but because of the large party it would be additional. That's why I'm asking on here, because some of you who have already been recently will know for sure.

I don't believe that is correct. Maybe she meant any additional items would automatically have the 18% added. I have a large family and haven't ever had additional charges because of party size on the DDP.

This seems like double dipping or am I wrong here? If tipping is included in the 2007 Disney Dining plan.....then it is included, right? or did they automatically charge larger parties 18%.....or the difference.. NOw I am confused..

It is correct only in that WDW currently charges an automatic gratuity on all parties of 8 or more.

However, an 18% gratuity is included in the 2007 dining plan. The OP's party will not be charged extra for gratuity unless they order off-plan items.

18% mandatory-for 8 people....BUT yes it is included in 2007 plans!!!!Lucky You!!!
