Tipping Housekeeping Staff

When do you tip the housekeeping staff? Daily or at the end of your stay?

At Disney resorts and elsewhere I tip daily and I tip $1 per person staying in the room (which is 4 of us).

I also tip daily, I think it is the fairest way because you do not alway have the same mousekeeper. If you tip weekly and your regular mousekeeper is off that day the replacement gets everything. We usually tip $1 to $2 per person.

I would hate to keep finding singles.
What about $5 for a neat family of 4 ?

I could pre-do envelopes.
$5 in each of 8 envelopes (one for each night)
would be easier to pack than a wad of 40
one dollar bills.

Anyone's thought's ?

$5 is always better than $4!

I usually tip $1 to $1.50 per person each day.

There are two or three of us, I tip $5 per day, and another $2 per evening for turn-down service.

At DVC resorts I leave $5 for trash and towel, and $10 on full housekeeping day for a 1BR, I still leave $5 for T&T and $15 for full cleaning for a 2BR.
