What is the customary tip for a 1 hr. massage?

TC:cool:

I think the general rule for most spa/salon services is 10%-20%.

Wow. I dont' tip my massage therapist......
She doesn't tip me for delivering her babies and I dont' tip her for a massage :)

I don't tip my regular massage therapist. She works for herself, the money is all hers. I do tip when I visit a Spa if the service was above average. The Spa therapist usually have to pay "rent" or split fees with the Spa for the working space.

It's the same with my hairdresser. She pays a percent to the house for the chair.

At the spa I go to, tipping is not accepted. Besides, where do you hold your tip money?

Ah, sorry. I always seem to butt in where I am not asked :D
I see the difference.
I do tip my hairdresser that works in someone else's shop.
My massage therapist is her own boss :D
Have a great massage!!

you can always add a tip when you are paying you bill. ;)
i tip atleast 20%, also be sure to tip everyone who you recieve a treatment from if you get more than one. you can always tip each person differently depending on the job they did.

enjoy your massage!!!

We give between 10-20% but about 90% of the time in the 15% range. of course if the service seemed extra nice or the person made the experience so special then it goes to the 20%. But I think they would be pleased with a 15% tip.
