tipping drivers for transportation

Ok, I really have no idea about this so I hope someone can help me out. We are thinking we might use private transportation to get to and from Port canaveral for our cruise and I was wondering how much would be an appropriate tip to give the driver.

It would be for 3 persons, in a towncar. No stops, just straight to the port and back to the airport.

When I use a towncar service, I tip 20% of the total charge. But, I divide it in two. For instance..if the total is $100, I would tip $10 each way.

I agree, 18-20% of the cost of your transfer is standard in the industry right now. I would tip the 20%.

Same here--20% of the service with half being paid in each direction.
