We would tip at least $2 each way.If you request a wheelchair at the airport and the person wheels you to your gate, what do you tip if anything?
Thanks,
Dawn
This is my range, too. A lot depends on the size of the airport, the time of day, how long it took for someone to show up, how long I had to wait between then and when we finally got started (last trip, despite assuring the passenger assistance person that there was nobody left on the plane - because I had been forgotten after somebody 'usurped' the wheelchair I reserved weeks earlier - I had to wait while he checked for himself); how far I've gotten wheeling myself...akcire said:At least $5 but as much as $10 for superior service.
I had a client several years ago who handed each attendant helping her a $50. She got kid glove service wherever she went, obviously. At that time, I told her $5 was fine. She had such a great reputation, skycaps watched for her name to come up. She was also friendly, appreciative and gracious.
One airline I used, I can't remember which. the people were not allowed to accept tips. I would say that the tip amount would depend upon how long the person stayed with you. Some stay, if needed, until you board.
