I forgot to ask this in my earlier post but I just read that at PO FQ they bring your bags to your room for you. I don't want to sound cheap or stupid but I have no clue on how the tipping works here. Do we tip more than one person? Are there several people who handle our bags? Also, we are driving from Minnesota so we will have a bunch of small size totes, our tv in a bag, etc. Do we have them bring these to our room as well or can we bring them ourselves later? We have never seen this resort and I just want to be sure I don't do anything stupid! ;)

Thanks for your help on this topic.

When I stayed at POFQ we parked the car in the front parking lot and then went to check-in. Once we were done I asked for baggage help and someone drove me over to my car on one of the little golf carts. He loaded everything on to the cart and then drove us and the luggage to the room. He was very nice and even drove us by the pool on the way so we could see it.

I am sure if you want to leave some stuff in your car and just get it later that is not a problem at all.

I tipped him $10 for 3 suitcases and 2-3 smaller bags.

I hope you have a great trip. We loved POFQ!

usually the standard is $1/bag

Many tip $1.50 or $2 per bag. I think the tip Liz gave was not out of line with her luggage, it's what I would have done.

My husband usually does this.. but I know that for 2 bags he gives $5 so if there are more, then he gives more.

 I feel cheap!! We always tip $1/bag---but we include all bags (ie, grocery bags, tote bags, etc).

I stayed at POFQ last month. There are short term spaces in the front of the main lot (1/2 hour I think). I would park there and go check-in. If your room is ready, I would drive to your building and take your bags out yourself. There is parking close to each building. That is what we did, our room was only about 5 doors from the parking lot. If your room is not ready, then you would have to decide if you want to check them with bell services or leave them in the car until later. The only time we use bell servcies at a moderate is if we used a town car or Mears from the airport. If we have a rental car, we do it ourselves.
