Tipping at DD?

Anyone know if your suppose to tip housekeeping at the DD hotels? This whole tipping thing is mind boggling to me. I've never tipped housekeeping at any hotel in the US! Have I been jipping people all these years?!!!

I stayed at the hotel plaza resort at DD and i left 10.00 for the four days i stayed there when i left. i didn't know how much to tip either.
