Ok, I know tipping threads usually end up in debates somehow ;) but I'm not asking if I should tip but what is considered a decent amount? I'm doing the Engagement Photo Session in November for $300 and don't know if I still stick to the 15-20% like restaurants or more or less. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

We're also doing the carriage ride in Fort Wilderness one night and I also don't know if it's appropriate to tip there as well. I'm sure they would take the money though! :) ;)

Just covering all of my bases!! Thanks again! :cheer2:

Oh, my!
I just had my engagement photo session and that totally skipped my mind! I didn't tip anything! I never thought of that. I really would love some input if that is a must or not, too!
However, I did really like our Disney photographer and would ask for him to do the wedding pictures . . . I hope I didn't mess that up!
Have fun with yours!

I wasn't sure if it's a general thing done or not. How was your photo session? Where did you get it done? We're doing it at Epcot WS and I can't wait. It's a surprise for my DBF (not engaged yet but Mr. Obvious is making it really seem like it's going to be done on our trip as he knows I've always wanted to be proposed to there so I scheduled it for the last day and I figure if it doesn't happen we'll just have some great pictures!! :) ). I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure they get a nice chunk of that $300. But I would still like to know (if anyone knows) if a tip is usually given and for how much. I know DFTW brides tip the photographers at their weddings so I wonder if it's the same for people who just purchase the Photo Sessions... :scratchin

I had a great time at the photo session! It was at the Magic Kingdom on a Saturday afternoon. We were originally going to do EPCOT, but we decided not to because our wedding is at EPCOT. If I were you, I would have mine in the a.m. because it was hot and very sunny. The photo department in my opinion has been the easiest ones to work with in the entire planning process. They are very flexible and helpful. They did the pictures we wanted and added great shots we never would have thought of. Hopefully, we'll get some good input on the tipping.
Have a great time at yours! I am sure you will have a blast!

Who or how do you contact the photo session people? I would love to have my engagement pics taken at disney. Does anyone have any recommendations as to the location? princess:
