Tip Of The Day

If you are staying onsite don't forget you can have anything you buy sent back to your resort free of charge so you don't have to carry it all day escpecially useful in Epcot and Animal Kingdom where they tend to have some 'unique' merchandise!

My tip is get to the parades and shows early, some are very popular and queues will build up an hpur or so before. If you turn up just minutes before it starts you may not be able to see it or will have a bad view.

My tip for today: "Buy at least one ride photo"

We loved Expedition Everest alot so on one of the rides all 4 of us made yeti faces and shouted 'aarrgggh' when we went over the drop.

The photo is brilliant and provides a great chuckle when we look at it.

My tip is from DLRP experience but I think will apply to all disney parks.

Have fun with the characters!

On our first trip we were a little nervous and unsure how to act with the characters as 2 adults. (also I was a little over excited and shy!)

But this preivous trip we really got into it, playing with the characters and chatting.

One character meal we had was very quiet and we had loads of characters with us for ages, which wouldn't have happened if we hand't have been so playful with them!

My favourite was when Donald came over to see us at the end of our meal, he asked how it was and I said 'delicious' and then he signalled that he cooked it and it was his restaurant. I 'whispered' to Jack, "oh, so that's why there's no duck on the menu" and donald starting shaking and crying.

We had to spend ages calming him down and promising we don't eat duck.

It was one of the highlights of my trip, and really made me have the kind of fun I thought I'd have to wait until we have kids with us for!!!

My tip wont necessarily save you time but will mean your exit from the car park is less busy. If going to see wishes park at Epcot and take the monorail to the magic Kingdom, it may take a few minutes but is a nice ride, I can guarantee that when you leave the park the monorail to epcot will not be no where near as busy, straight into your car and away - no queues to leave the car park, means less stress etc

Will try this out in the summer as we are along from the Osceola Parkway :)

For a different view of the Wishes firework display:
Watch Spectromagic then leave the park and get on the ferry to the car park area. Once the ferry drops you off on the jetty turn around and face the park. You can see the castle from here, with the train station lit up in the foreground, and they also pipe the music for Wishes into the jetty. Everything was choreographed to perfection.
We did this on our last trip and got off the ferry about 5 minutes before the display started.
If you are seeing Wishes for the first time though you may want to see it from the park - but we enjoyed this view of the display as much as any of the others we had seen. (and we avoided the mad rush for the monorails and ferry once Wishes had finished :thumbsup2 )

great idea! :thumbsup2

My tip is a bit obvious. Look at the detail! Disney have gone to a lot of trouble to put lots of little extras around the place from hidden Mickeys, to talking trash cans to the design of seats and trashcans by area. Open your eyes and look up, down and all around you. You may be surprised by what you see.

If you're heading from MK to one of the monorail resorts for lunch or dinner (or afternoon tea :thumbsup2 ), skip the obvious transportation choice and take a boat instead. The little boats which serve the Grand Floridian and the Poly are particularly delightful.

Ooooh - I'll remember to do this!! :) Thanks!

That sounds brilliant! I can't wait to see how the characters interact with us. Especially Chip and Dale. I've heard they can ber very naughty lol.

If you smoke, under no circumstances ask anyone where you can buy fags.

They were when DS went and had his pic taken with them at Epcot. All 3 turned around and started wiggling their bums at the camera. Made for some good Photopass shots.

My tip for the day

Listen to your children and have flexibility in your planning.
If they are tired, hot, hungry etc they will not enjoy the day and neither will you.
It is a holiday after all - not a marathon

Boulangerie Patisserie in Epcot at the France Pavilion is great for lunch (or brunch) with lovely baguette sandwiches ,Quiche croissants and cakes.
