2026 Benefit? Free Dining for Kids?

I can confirm that Free Dining plan for Kids applies to DVC point stays for 2026.

Yay! I tried all morning but couldn't get in but now I'm getting the same result. I was planning a split stay and adding the plan to the first half so this works out well for me with 2 eligible kids.

Nice! I would do the same to be able to use the refillable mug during second half as well.

That's a pretty lousy benefit tbh. Only people going with children between the ages of 3 and 10 will get it and it has a pretty expensive requirement to go with it. I don't see that one even creating as many visits as the free waterpark entrance day of checkin.

Agreed. The only logic I can see behind it, from Disney's perspective, is forcing those 11 and older in the same room to purchase the DDP.

Right. It's tricking families into buying the dining plan for everyone in the room because one or two kids get it for free. There are plenty of 10-13 year olds (and possible even older) kids who will never eat all of the food served with an adult meal. It's one of the reasons the dining plans never worked for our family. Our two daughters ate like birds through most of their teen years. They often didn't even finish a kids meal or they would split an adult meal. I think a lot of people will fall for this deal thinking it will save them a ton of money and then (if they do the math after the trip) realize that their 6, 8, 10, & 12 yo kids (random numbers there) along with the 2 parents, didn't eat $200+ worth of food each day (random approximate cost for the QSDP for 4 "adults"). If they get the DDP and do a lot of character meals, they might come out even or slightly ahead. The QSDP can come out ahead as well if the real-life adults have an acholic beverage with each meal or if it's 2 parents and 3-4 kids under the age of 9.
