Tip Of The Day

Tips

One - Book the last available meal slot in the Castle, fantastic coming out to a near empty park.

Two - Take a trip to Celebration, a bit Stepford Wives for me, but doesn't stop it being a beautiful place to relax.

Three - Someone else said it, but relax and smell the roses. In the rush around, so much gets missed.

Four - Take a day or two at the beach

Five - Make sure you spend time everywhere, many tourists never leave Disney, that to me is madness, there is so much to do and see.

Six - Accept that you can't do everything and have a plan of your must do's.

Seven - Have rest days planned in, you will not manage to have a 14 day break and enjoy it if you charge around 24/7 from park to park..

I knew the "one per day" request would go out of the window, but I thought it might take a little longer than a day before someone broke ranks! :rotfl:

My tip for today is book at meal at Crystal Palace or CRT before park opening (and not an AM EMH day) or book the 8.30 KTTK tour to get pictures of a virtually empty main street.

We have a great shot of just DH & me with just the castle and no people in the background that some kind person took :goodvibes (and we did return the favour!)

I got my tip from these boards and it worked really well . . . . when you get to Orlando (MCO) airport, get in the far right hand lane at passport control. When security have finished with their own nationals, they called us over and we were through really quickly! :thumbsup2

We did that last year as well and we were through in minutes :thumbsup2

My tip of the day is start going for long walks before you go on holiday if you are not usually an active person. You will walk miles and stand for hours at WDW and it can really take it out of you!

Hadn't seen this tip before-I'm definately going to try it!:goodvibes

Wear footwear that you've walked for miles in at home before wearing them to WDW. Now is not the time for new shoes! :lmao:

My tip today is if you don't have too much luggae take it on the monorail rather than having them transfer it to save time.

I would say register for any loyalty program for restaurants or shops that you visit. I got a Bath and Bodyworks signature product free voucher for any purchase over $15. Also got a 'buy one get one free' entree voucher from TGI Fridays. Both were used and for the TGIF meal we both ordered a $17.99 entree and paid for one :thumbsup2

Claire ;)

This got me stumped until I realise you mean the monorail at MCO airport LOL

If you like scrapbooking or crafts register online with JoAnn.com I got some 50% off coupons sent through to me before we went and got lot's of goodie cheap cheap cheap!

my tip, enjoy it as it is a holiday.
even with all the planning dont forget that

join dollar express or the likes, to avoid having to queue for a very long time with the 300+ passengers waiting to get car hire :)

Great thread idea :thumbsup2

If you are interested in the photopass system so that everyone in your party will be included in photos then save money by pre-paying while at home :)

We found taking it in turns to do single rider queues was alot quicker than doing baby switch where you have to queue in the main stand by lane.

For a different view of the Wishes firework display:
Watch Spectromagic then leave the park and get on the ferry to the car park area. Once the ferry drops you off on the jetty turn around and face the park. You can see the castle from here, with the train station lit up in the foreground, and they also pipe the music for Wishes into the jetty. Everything was choreographed to perfection.
We did this on our last trip and got off the ferry about 5 minutes before the display started.
If you are seeing Wishes for the first time though you may want to see it from the park - but we enjoyed this view of the display as much as any of the others we had seen. (and we avoided the mad rush for the monorails and ferry once Wishes had finished :thumbsup2 )

When you land and leave the plane, get your wallet and throw it on the tarmac, then get back on the plane. You will save a fortune.
