I heard this information on CNN yesterday and posted it on the community forum but meant to get it over here also.
Now whether you blame the banks or the politicians for these ridiculous rise in fees the fact remains that you as a consumer have a lot of choices out there. Big banks are counting on the fact that most of its customers will be too lazy to bother with changing so will simply accept the fees.
Not me, simply put there are just way too many options for me to willing give Bank of America 60-200 bucks a year of MY money. I put in the 200 because now BoA makes folks carry a huge balance (1500) bucks in a basic checking account or you get hit with $15 dollar service fee.
