We are taking our first trip using the Platinum Plan.

Part of the service is access to a Platinum Planner and our planner has been great.

For the people that have done this in the past, are you allowed to tip your planner? Is this expected by the planner? What is the usual and customary gratuity for a planner?

I never even got to meet mine... proabably just as well: they were very difficult to reach, often took 48 hours or more to respond to voice/emails...

I ended up making more than half of my ADRs using WDW-DINE just like everyone else

So sorry to hear that.

Our planner has been great. When we needed something, we just shot him an email and done.

He got us everything we wanted. We did have to shift some events around to different dates, but no big deal.

From what I understand, the platinum planners are much like the concierge staff at the resorts, and are not supposed to accept cash tips. We opted to send a cookie/baked goods basket to the GF/CR IPO office as a token of our thanks. Our planner was wonderful, and while I hope she got the promotion she was trying for, part of me wishes she will be there to help us with our trip this year.
