DH, Myself and DD (6) and DS (5), staying at WL
Woke up early and got to 1900 PF which was VERY crowded. The food, as usual, was excellent but we never did see Alice in Wonderland. The Mad Hatter is always our favorite.
After breakfast we took the boat to MK and then the train to Toontown. What a great morning! The lines were minimal to get into any of the character meet and greets. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Ariel and Donald. We did several rides on our way to Lunch at the Plaza Restaurant. My DH had the tuna sandwich, I had the potato leek soup and the kids had grilled cheese. My kids had their VERY first pin trade with the cast members here, we took photos and everyone was SO proud!
We walked down to the Confectionary to pick up a few Caramel apples and then proceeded to the WL by boat. We changed and took the kids to the Cubs Den and my DH and I had our first experience with the AP!! WOW!!!! Our server was POK and she was amazing! We were seated in the corner table overlooking the waterfall. POK noticed I was not feeling well and brought me a teapot filled with hot lemon water and a small pitcher of honey. Let me tell you, it worked!! POK brought out our appetizers, she had split the Smoky Portabella soup for us in the back and she also brought out the Venison Spring Rolls. The soup was the a hightlight of the trip. I then had the filet with wine sauce and I had the chef substitute my side for the sweet potato gratin which was delicious. DH had the cedar plank salmon. We followed a fantastic meal with 2 cobblers, one we shared and one we took back to our room.
We spoke to the DVC rep for about 30 minutes who was seated outside of AP and then we decided to go to Disney Quest. It was a very fun night for everyone. DH and I enjoyed the alone time and the kids enjoyed the time at Cubs Den playing video games and doing puzzles, crafts and playing with the 12 other kids there that night.
We wrapped up the night in the WL hot tub with drinks in hand!!
