Tinkerbell Gifts Left For Kids in the Rooms?

We don't make our gifts secret. Before I leave home, I wrap small bags with tags decorated with Disney stickers ~ each one with the child's name and day of the week it's for. Then, each night they are presented with the one for that day. It's kind of a reward, and makes the driving down there more exciting.

Sometimes, it contains something they'll need the next day day in the park: like an autograph book the first day, or a pressed-penny book.

But besides cutting down on souvenirs bought inside the park, it also helps get the girls excited about leaving the park at night and getting "home" to the resort to see what they'll get next!

Daxx's wife here. I am the chief Tinkerbell in the family ... meaning I'm the one who shops for the gifts, leaves them, etc. When DS is sleeping, I pop his Tinkerbell gift under his pillow. But ... here's the bonus ... I dust him w/pixie dust! I have this body gel w/glitter in it and I lightly put some on his hair and cheeks while he's asleep. When he wakes up, he finds his gift and notices that Tink left some pixie dust behind.

For Tinkerbell gifts, I usually pick up small things when they're on sale at TDS ... like those little washcloths that they have, key chains, etc. Or, I leave something small that he's seen in the park (that I've gone back for b/c I've told him to think about) ... pins, etc. I also create coupons for a "Sticky Mickey" ice cream sucker that he can trade in to me (I told him Tink left me the money specifically for that), a pin that he can pick out, a bottle of powerade, etc. I also like to leave a Disney Dollar behind.

The key, my friends, is the dusting of pixie dust. Makes all the difference!!!

Thanks for the great suggestions. I plan on doing Tink gifts on our trip in June. I really love the idea of having the kids write down their favorite part of the day. What a great souviner in itself :earsboy: Sounds like I need to find some "pixie dust", it would make it all the more special :flower:

Heads up on the pixie dust -- Target has glitter body gel in their $1 section! I bought up a batch!
