I noticed this trip we didn't see Tinker Bell Fly over MK during Wishes? Did they stop doing it all together? I know at DL during Spring Break they still did it.

Well there were storms everyday so maybe that is why but nothing any different then normal Florida afternoon showers. Maybe they make that call early in the day but we were there 8 days and she never flew that I know of unless it was when we were at HS for Star Wars weekends

She definitely still flies. We have had some nasty weather here this month at all times of the day. The call is made closer to fireworks time. But if anything is deemed unsafe (lightening in area, wind gust too strong, rain, etc) she will not fly. Standing on the ground you may not realize a strong wind current above all of those buildings. Or know if lightening is some where in the area.

Weather at show time, including winds and rain, along with technical issues are pretty much the only things that stop her. That said, this happens more often than most guests would like I'm sure.

When we were there at the end of May begining of June she flew every time we were at the MK. One night we wereat theCalifornia Grill for dinner and we could see her from the observation deck. It was really cool.

I've heard from various people that Tinker Bell/Bill has to get on a scale moments before flying and if they're even an ounce over what they need to be it's a no-go...but that could be BS, so don't quote me. xD

The thing to remember is that her flight is keyed to the show. She MUST fly on cue. If there is an issue even a second before her cue to leave the castle, she may not fly.

I don't know how big time window is, but it can't be huge I would be surprised if it was more than 1-3 seconds.

So I can see 100 things that are non-issues, but choosing not to fly, things like a wind gust, or line/rigging that just wasn't right at final check.

::yes:: Same here, it was very neat to see Tink from CG! We also saw her fly the night we were actually inside MK, both were in early May.

I know the weather the past couple of weeks wasn't that great- even though there was no rain during Wishes, there was still lightening in the area. I know there were times it was clear, but the pool was closed at night because there was still lightening within a 10 mile radius- maybe they also won't let her fly if the lightening is still in the area? Also, I noticed one day that there was a balloon caught on her wire, so I was sure that she wouldn't fly that night either because they can't remove it during the day and wouldn't let her fly with the balloon stuck there.

One of my absolute favourite parts of Wishes at MK is seeing Tinkerbell. It's truly magical! So sorry to hear you missed seeing her this trip! Hopefully next time around with a little faith, trust and pixie dust, she'll appear (weather permitting) :)

Yea she definitely still flies over, weather permitting. Saw her fly over about 3 days ago
