But at 8:30am...they are already sold out online!! The buy it online and pick up in the store option is not working so my youngest daughter and I are poised and ready to be at the doors when they open to try and snag one! Wish us luck! Did anyone here get one online already this morning?

Let us know how you like it if you get one! I was looking at one of these for DD for Xmas :flower:

Also please post what accessories they had for this at Best Buy if you see any.

Thanks!

How much are they at BB, Disney has them for $49.99.
They are the same price at Best Buy. They are suppose to start showing up at Target, Walmart, Sears and Limited too also. If I see a better price I will post it on the budget board.

Update: Best Buy did not have them, had never heard of them! I showed it to them online at the store that says it was at their store. She gave me a 10% off coupon if/when it arrives! I went to Target and they had all the accessories...but no players. We called every Target in town...same thing.

Accessories:
2 different kinds of headphones 14.99
Charger adapter for wall use $14.99
Blue case that attaches to backpacks $14.99
Pink case that holds the player, earphones, and has slits for the extra music you can buy (this is the one we bought...14.99)
Docking/charger station $59.99 You can charge while listening to the music out loud
At Target the slot for the player had it at $39.99
They also had four different smart cards of songs $14.99 each Only one of those interested my daughter, we picked that up as well.

Thanks for the update!! I just called my local Target and they told me that they have the accessories in but not the players yet. I will post if they show up soon! :flower:

I wonder if target will get the princess or mickey one or just the tinkerbell? Did they say what kind they are getting?

For about the same price,(or cheaper) you can get an Mp3 player with a screen to see which song is playing. This doesnt have one, right? Except for the design, i dont understand why this is so popular? Is it just because its Disney? I didnt read all of the features on the disney yet.

Well for us it is popular because my DD 8 LOVES Tinkerbell!! Her room is Tink, she carries Tink purses, wears Tink clothes. If she had to choose between a Tink MP3 player and one that has a screen that shows the title of the song I know that she would want the Tink one. Since this is for her for Xmas I will choose the Tink.

Our Target had all of the players and the accessories as well. The display didn't look like it was the best quality plastic, but they were cute. $59.99 at Target though and it doesn't hold that many songs.

Our Target had one on display...which was the princess one. One reason I like the Disney ones is that you can buy the smart cards with the Disney songs as well. I don't really know though how the child chooses the CD/song they want...but I hope it's fairly simple.

Guess I'd better get to Target and get the accessories. I placed them all on my disney shopping wish list but I don't have to pay shipping to target. Thanks! :goodvibes

The appeal to me is that these are still 'childish' mp3 players. My dd's 10 and 8 have asked for mp3 players for Christmas. I don't want to buy them IPods, as I want to buy those when they are a bit older.

This style also allows me to buy them the cd add-ons that are supposed to be simple to use. I want my kids to have what they want, but something to look forward to as they get older. Does that make any sense?!?!

I agree about spending smaller $ on a childish one and being able to upgrade to something later. Something new is always coming out and sometimes kids don't want to understand the fact that I paid $100-200 for x last year and you don't need the new one yet.

And besides, we love tinkerbell! Pixie dust to you all!! :wizard:

That makes perfect sense to me! My youngest daughter loves music, and typically we travel with her portable CD player and her large CD case. We are traveling to Hawaii in four weeks, and it will be so nice to just pack up this tiny little Tinkerbell MP3 player instead! I just hope I can get a player before we go!!

I bet you will be able to get it before you leave- it sounds like Target is getting ready to have it anyday now.

I'll admit, I really don't know how a MP3 player works, but this sounds like DD7 would love this. Can you play ANY music on it, or just the disney mix things?

You can download songs from the internet, or from a CD you own, or use the music clips. Of the four available, only one interested my daughter.

A tiny update: I just called our Target and they still do not have any players in.

Disney Direct is listing a 2 week wait...I am not sure if I should go ahead and order from them, or take my chances that Target will get some soon. :confused3 I am honestly really surprised that not one has shown up on Ebay!

Decisions...decisions...
