Oh please tell me there are messy face pictures!
Sadly, LL...there are no messy face pictures. My camera had enough disasters this vacation, I wasn't letting Aisling anywhere near my camera with that dessert.
I can describe for you what ensued. We got to our seats and despite being RIGHT in front of the Funnel Cake booth, the cake was already soup by the time we sat down. Yup, chocolatey, powdery, sticky, mushy soup. Aisling gobbled it up. I tried a bit from the sides that the ice cream hadn't turned into mush. It was pretty good. Aisling had utensils and a couple of napkins. They did no good. She had funnel cake in her hair, down her dress, up her arms, on her legs....everywhere. Luckily, even with a 6 year old, this mommy always carries wipes. I got her cleaned up best I could. Randy returned with the pearl creation and sat down
Aisling..excited to see Daddy gave him a big hug and kiss. Guess I missed a spot or two of chocolate because it ended up all over Randy's white tshirt.
Finally it was time for the performance
Anyone from my generation recognize these crooners???
Yup....Boyz II Men!!!! (guess one of the guys dropped out after my Boyz II Men days)
I can't even begin to tell you how crazy women got over these guys. Like pushing their own children out of the way crazy. Randy and I were laughing ourselves silly.
Per usual, they did their "hand out a rose while singing baby-making music" thing
You can kind of see the moms-gone-wild in this shot
All in all, it was a great show. It was quite thrilling to be belting out songs in Epcot. After the show was over, Mommy was on a mission to get her Grey Goose Slushie so off we went!
I had made the decision in the morning to only carry on lens with me and that I would get my wide-angle lens when we went back to the hotel. Well since that didn't happen, I didn't get the cool wide shots of WS lagoon that I wanted. These are the only scenery shots I ended up with for the day
I think these pics are out of order. Oh well. At some point, we saw that Aladdin and Jasmine were out so we met them. They were quite good. They were asking Aisling was flying carpet company she used to get to Florida
At last, we arrived in France so mommy could get her Grey Goose Slushie. The line was insanely long. Randy decided to wait for me so I could take Aisling to see more characters. But then I checked my Food and Wine guide and noticed France also had creme brulee at their booth. What could be better than having TWO creme brulee's in one day
The booth was directly across from the fountain in France. There was a photopass person out and nobody having pics taken. So Aisling asked if she could have her picture taken. Since I could easily see her from the line, I gave her the PP card and let her go. You should have saw the photographer's expression when Aisling walked up and handed her the card! She clearly thought Aisling was by herself
Here is her ANTM pose
After i got my treat, we noticed that both Marie and Aurora were out in France. Both had several people in line so I gave Aisling the choice of who to meet. She chose Marie since she had never met her before.
Just as we were finishing up....Randy arrived with my slushie (which I proceeded to gulp down so fast I got a brain freeze). We finished our trek around the rest of WS stopping in UK for our final F&W treat (I forget what Randy got but I got the Lobster Pie).
Ironically, as we were rounding Canada, it was only shortly before our ADR time at Rose and Crown but we were all too stuffed to eat at this point. We continued on to FW where Aisling FINALLY got her ride on Soarin' AND we got the front row for the 1st time
We had one stop on our way...to see our futures
I as always rode by myself so I only have pics of me and my red headed friend
But Randy and Aisling were around
Sweaty and tired, we stopped for the only family PP pic of the day
And then it was time to bid Epcot goodbye for another trip
Overall, a VERY long day at Epcot but we accomplished what we set out to do (minus Rose and Crown). We headed back to POP so Randy could take Ash swimming and Mommy could pack everyone up to maximize park time the next day.
Coming up....A Princess makes her WDW debut and the Smiths NEED to be there!
