Tink Got Me My Very Own Sharpies!- A Surprise Bday TR (3/8 Final Thoughts)

For everyone but Kristine- we got 4-8 inches of snow yesterday in Little Rock and the place is SHUT DOWN! I live up a mountain, so there is no way for me to get out anywhere. There is hardly enough snow to do anything with (other than hit kids with snowballs. . .), but yet we are stuck.

We are still stuck- Kids's school is closed today for sure. Hopefully they will be back open tomorrow. Yesterday was disgusting. It started raining at one point and created this mushy gushy slush. We are going to try to go out for lunch- we can only eat so many sandwiches or microwave meals and we have no other real food, nor do I have the desire/time/enery to cook anything.

Since we are venting about snow, I would like to complain for a minute. . .we pretty successfully got dug out of the two feet of snow we got Fri-Sat now tonight into tomorrow we are getting another foot. We have the ability to dig out I just don't know where they are going to put it all. Okay - vent over!

So when are you going to start a PTR for your fabulous - SWW, DVC staying, DIS meeting trip!

PTR???? It's taken me 4 months to write the first 4 days of a 6 day trip. I don't think I'll keep people interested at all in a PTR!

My rant of the day....my first cousin is getting married in Indiana. She got engaged over Christmas. Got the save the date last night. The wedding is May 8th. SERIOUSLY You don't send save a dates for a wedding less than 3 months away that BOTH sides need to fly for. You get on the phone and start calling ASAP. Neither of my siblings have any money and my Mom is going to be in Italy so she can't go. I feel terrible not having someone to represent "our family" but who does that?!?! And now it's turned into a bit of a family tiff because my aunt (her mom) doesn't understand why everyone isn't jumping at the chance to go. According to the save a date, the wedding is approx 2 hours from the "local" airports. Which means airfare, hotel, car rental, gas, food, spending $, etc. My aunt had mentioned when she got engaged that she wanted a destination wedding and I immediately said that I wasn't go to have all 3 of us go but planned to go with my mom so we could split some of the costs. So that's out now. uggghhhhh

Thank you for reading! Glad that you are enjoying the report so far. I see you are doing your first no-stroller trip. We are sooo excited to be leaving the stroller at home this time. We totally didn't need it last time. We only used it those to late night at MK and frankly, Randy could have just carried her if she fell asleep.

Ok first of all, what kind of destination wedding is in Indiana?! Why would people jump at the chance to fly there instead of, oh I don't know, the Caribbean?

Second, that is very poor wedding etiquette to inform people 3 months before that they have to fly to a wedding. Flights are going to be expensive. Shame shame on her! The Knot women would be insulted

Guess who is going to get stuck in the "blizzard" on the way home?????

I swear they are purposely trying to annoy me!!!!!!

1) 10 years these people have known that drop-bys are a huge pet peeve of mine. Yet they keep doing it.

2) Randy will never stand up to them and say that can't come in or *God Forbid* just don't answer the phone/door.

3) When I come home from work, I have a ton of stuff to do. I don't have time to entertain. And with Bailey, I have even less time time

4) If you don't tell me you are coming over- I don't have dinner de-frosted for you. And I'm not that rude that I'm going to eat in front of them so that means we get stuck buying something from Blue House (local takeout place).

5) Randy works nights. Has worked nights for like 12 years. STOP CALLING HIM AND WAKING HIM UP. This would be like him calling you at 2am.

6) I am on a boatload of medication now that they discovered my ulcer. The medication makes me sick to my stomach (isn't this counter-productive as an aside???). This is obviously making me less likely to be Susie Sunshine DIL of the Year.

Yup! May 27th-June 3rd. We're booked at POP right now, but I'm thinking we're going to upgrade to POR since we'll have my mom with us. Fun!
