Next stop...the Animation Building!
But first....pin trading
This was another point of the trip that we just relaxed and didn't rush from one thing to the next. The girls played in the animation building for AGES
The only thing that dragged them away was that the UP characters were coming out
While in line, there was a couple of girls behind us who appeared to be in their very early 20s...if that. One started screeching when she saw Aisling's dress about how much she loved Malificent. Randy gave his speech about how I sewed, my friends' sew, and how Cindee made "M's" outfit. The convo seemed to end there but then a couple of minutes later, this chick asked to take a picture with Aisling. Really odd but in the moment we were like "ya sure" She mumbled something to Aisling about Malificent being dear to her heart. FINALLY, the mystery was solved when she leaned over to Randy and whispered that she WAS Malificent.
I still find it a little odd to have CMs standing in line on their day off to meet UP CMs...but to each his own.
Finally it was our turn. Luckily, M was pretty cooperative (without being asked) at keeping her back to me!
After lots of fun with Dug and the gang...we we off to meet the Incredibles guys and M had something she "just had to show Aisling". That's right, the movie poster for....
The girls were feeling a little hungry at this point so we stopped for a snack and the Parade/Street Show thing was about to start. We never watch afternoon parades but in the spirt of slowing things down...we did this day.
During the parade, the girls danced away while Cindee and I were fuming (don't really know what the Daddies were doing). As you can see from the pics, we were right at the bench. We were sitting on the bench enjoying our snack until the parade started. Then we stood up. The girls stood on the bench, Cindee and I kept our feet on the ground. But in a display of one of my biggest Disney pet-peeves, a woman comes along as the show is starting and put her kids on the bench RIGHT in front of Cindee and I. So now, her kids are blocking our view.
Now I'm a parent and I get that a lot of Disney is about the joy of children's faces seeing thing. BUT, 1) it's not just for kids and 2) if you want your kids to have a better view, show up on time and save your own spot. Do NOT throw your kids in front of me....especially without asking. Now, this alone would have annoyed me. But no, they went a step further. This woman then LEAVES her kids and takes off. One of them was a toddler who wasn't sure on her feet yet. Cindee and I had to grab her several times so that she wouldn't fall off the bench. Seriously woman...WHAT ARE YOU THINKING

As always, this public display of behavior causes me to ponder: if this is what you do in public, HOW do you act in private???
But we coulnd't worry about poor parenting anymore. Some of us had a galaxy far far away to conquer.
