Tink and Wishes

I've read that Tink starts of the fireworks at MK every night but I've never actually seen this. Where's the best place to stand and what exactly are you looking for? Thanks!

Yes she does!! Over by tomorrowland is where we go...like in front of the Plaza Restuarant and before you get to Tomorrowland. You can see the zip chord too (I think).

She starts about 3/4 the way up the castle. If you standing at the Hub looking at the castle, it will on right hand side. She flys over the rose garden and in Tomorrowland.

She doesn't actually start Wishes, she flys a few minutes into it. You can see the zip cord stretching from the castle toward Tomorrowland.

I for one think we at WDW are getting the short end of the stick!!! I just came back from Disneyland and Tink not only flies around (yes, I said AROUND) the castle several times at the beginning of the fireworks, she does it again at the end. I was stunned.

Disney Fool, I am RIGHT WITH YOU! we were at DL earlier in the month, and Tink was awesome! Of course the smaller castle might make her flying around seem more significant...nah- it's just awesome!

Be aware however, that she does not fly every night. I have been trying to see her for several years now. She doesn't fly if there is too much wind, or if it's raining, or for some reason if I'm standing there waiting for her. No kidding, if I'm there, she's not going to fly. I've been going to WDW since 1985 and I've never seen her. It even rained when we were in Disneyland this past January, so we missed her there too. On my next trip, I'm going to be there every night until she shows up. Wishing for a little pixie dust!!!

If you're travelling w/kids and they ask why there's the zip cord, just explain that it helps Tink find her way from the top of the Castle b/c she doesn't want to get too close to the people watching!

Tink flies from the castle to the top of the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. We stood right under the line (near some big "rocks") and she flew right over us. It's a good spot. We could see her really well.

When we were there in 6/05 we sat on the terace at the Noodle Station (it was closed at that time) & watched wishes. DH was videoing has has great footage of tink flying directly at & over us. Definately a pixie dust moment!

There's some very good information on Tink's flight provided on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I don't want to spoil the magic for anyone, but it's a pretty elaborate production.

I've stood right under that line and found it harder to focus on Tink. It didn't seem like she was flying, but falling.
I like it better when I am in front of the castle and to the right a bit. It seems easier to get the whole effect.

We watched it from the bridge going to tomorrow land and saw cinderella's clothes line our DD5 & DS4 thought it was amazing that tink flew over their heads but it was a few minutes later that the fireworks started still brought a tear to my eye, but then so does the castle every time I see it

Thanks for all the input! I guess I just haven't been lucky enough with weather and what not b/c I've never seen her. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she makes an appearance next time!
