Tink 2017 Anniversary Trip

Hubs and I are planning to do Tink weekend as part of our 10th anniversary trip. We stayed at DL hotel previously on an awesome conference rate, then did some non-Disney activities around the city. We loved staying there, but are open to other options. Where would you suggest from on/off property that is convenient to walk to start/finish line and anniversary-worthy (with a 3-year-old)?

We like staying at the Hilton or Marriott next to the Anaheim Convention Center. Usually you can get a good rate at one or the other by booking the hotel through Southwest Airlines. Recently it seems like Hilton has the better rates. The walk is pretty short from there.

We've also stayed at Ramada Plaza on Katella. It isn't as nice, but the free breakfast is decent and it is a shorter walk to the park entrance.
