Timing to get to restaurant? Help?

I will be at WDW for a conference. (This will be my 20th+ trip to WDW.) As it will be during a VERY busy time, I've decided to purchase one of the "after 4pm" conference-only tickets.

We have a 4:05pm reservation at Le Cellier. My question is: Will they let us in a few minutes (20? 10?) before 4pm for us to make the reservation? Or are we possibly going to miss our reservation?

I honestly don't know but they do seem to be letting people in for the special parties in earlier than the party stated time. Can you move your time back? You are supposed to be at the restaurant 15-20 minutes before your ADR. I have also heard that they will hold your reservation for 15 minutes only and then your table is gone. I am sure they would work you in if you showed up but you might wait longer. Honestly, I would keep checking to see if you can get a later time...also, maybe check with the CM at the conference hotel (Assuming that it is on Disney property.)

1) They do not let you in early on "timed" convention tickets.
2) Lots of folks tried to cheat the system.
. . . buy a Noon, 2:00 or 4:00 ticket
. . . make a fake ADR earlier to gain admittance
3) So, the practice was stopped years ago.

Go in at the international gateway it is much closer to Canada. We have been 15 minutes late before and they haven't let go of our reservation

Gayle, best idea is to blow off the conference and spend the whole day at Epcot. Not that I've ever done anything like that...more than once...or twice.

Luckily it's not my conference, so I can do whatever! We decided to just get the after 2pm ticket to be safe. We're basically paying a $57 cover to get into Le Cellier! It will be spring break & an EMH day at EPCOT, so we have no hope whatsoever to do any attractions!

I would have just gone in through the IG. Once you are in there, it is a 2 minute walk to Le Cellier.

Yeh, we'll definitely go in International Gateway, as we're staying at YC.
