Timing for spiders on HPFJ

Hi,
I am going to Universal this week and want to go on FJ. I went on it about a year ago and remember someone had put the timing to avoid seeing the spiders on here. I had a note in my phone but that phone was broken and replaced so now I can't find the details. I am terrified of spiders so I want to miss that part. I know it's after hermione says some spell and I believe when the dragon shoots fire(i think) you close your eyes then after so many flashes and something else you open them. I just cannot remember the exact details which are important lol. Anyone help me with this?

Right after the dragon. When Hermione says a spell, you can open your eyes.

After the dragon spits breath at you, the spider sequence begins. When you hear Hermione say the phrase "watch out for the whomping willow!" that's your safe phrase. Open your eyes after you hear "willow" and you should be seeing a huge tree...

I hate spiders, but its not so bad. They really don't even move.

I am also terrified of spiders and they did not bother me at all. You can tell that they are not real. I had the dementers light straight in my eyes and that bothered me more.

I've been on once before and closed my eyes just couldn't remember the timing. My phobia is pretty severe lol. I can't even watch the parts of chamber of secrets with them I just listen. Even plastic ones or pictures will do it for me lol. I remember watching a video about the ride when it first opened and as soon as I saw the spider I wouldn't ride that year cause the video clip was bad for me. The following year I braved it and closed my eyes cause I am a huge HP fan I hated missing out

I went on this ride last year and had my eyes closed for most of the ride, because I found out about the spiders. Now I know when to close my eyes and open them again... Great tip

I rode yesterday and these directions were perfect!! I waited a few seconds after I heard hermione say watch out for the womping willow which I think was good cause as I opened them we were coming out of the spider cave so give it a few seconds to be sure

Next time, just go with your mommy or daddy. They will help keep you safe and can tell you when to open your eyes. Congrats on being brave and trying out a "big ride".
