Timing for selling on Ebay question?

I sold a few things on Ebay in the spring and I've spent the summer cleaning out and organizing my house, so I have quite a stack of stuff that I want to get listed.

Is there someplace on the Ebay site that shows the activity levels or could anyone that sells regularly clue me in on how their sales have been over the last few weeks? I know that back to school and Fall clothes will pick up in August, but am I wasting my time to list household items and collectables now?

I want the most bang for my buck (for Disney, of course), but I also want to get this stuff out of my house!

TIA for any insite!

Our experience is not so much times of the year, but times for auctions to end! We try to list Sunday to Sunday. More people are home, getting ready for the week, etc on Sunday evenings, so we have found that Sunday evening endings we have MUCH more success. Also, you are more likely to get paid quickly, especially if they are using PayPal, because they're not thinking about work, etc. Good luck to you!

Collectibles can be varied. I've found its best to do a search of the item under completed auctions. This will show you recent sales so as to compare items to yours and what you have in mind to sell for.

I think overall sales on certain things tend to be down in the Summer..more people gone traveling and spending their money there..it usually picks up in the Fall when people start thinking about Christmas/Hanukah

My May and June was totally way off, but now it's picking up nicely. I sell mostly collectibles & antiques, some new stuff but not much. I've sold a few of my DGD9's outgrown clothing for my DD, but I really don't like to fool with clothes much. I used to have most of my auctions close on Sundays, but I've found that my auctions have been doing better ending on Mondays and Thursdays...at least this summer they are. I'd say go ahead and list stuff that folks need/want any time of year. I don't know about the clothing items. Good luck!

i've only been selling since february but i've noticed a decline in sales this past 30-45 days. i have an ebay store so i have access to my traffic reports and can see the watchers of my various items. My peak day seems to be wednesday for people watching. i'd say since july, sales are soooooooooooo slow, but i know it will pick up soon. i guess i was getting a little too used to the good months!
