We are current owners at Kidani and have been looking for small contract for VWL or BWV. (I know I know small contracts alone are hard to find never mind at these two properties) That being said we have been looking for a while and aren't in a big rush so when I got an e-mail from the Timeshare Store this morning with a contract that was perfect for us I called within a minute of opening it. Much to my dismay I was told that it had sold over an hour ago.:confused3 I was told that the potential buyers must have gotten the email first. Now with the scarcity at witch these little babies show up on the market and the demand that is present, how am I to ever be in the buyer's seat?

p.s. I asked to be put on a "looking for" list and was told there is no such thing.....any ideas would be awesome. :goodvibes

Thanks

The website updates faster then the emails go out. I put in an offer for 25 at vwl that was on the website for about 10 mins. They updated it right before they closed for the night, and I called about 2 mins before they closed.

The "looking for" list isn't usually for small quick to sell contracts. Too many people are looking for them.

The most logical explanation is that someone else received the newsletter before you and called sooner. Having some experience with mass mailing lists, I can tell you that it's not practical to send an email to thousands of recipients simultaneously. The messages need to be "throttled" or sent in smaller batches over a period of time. Otherwise you risk ISPs interpreting it as spam messaging and blocking the emails at the server level.

In speaking to TTS, I understand that they only send the newsletter 3 times per week. However contracts can be cleared for listing at any time. It isn't practical to send an alert every single time a contract has cleared pre-screening and is listed.

So if newsletters are sent Monday and Wednesday, a contract that has cleared on Tuesday will be available for 24 hours or so before being broadcast to all.

When dealing with a contract that has inherently high demand, there are bound to be many disappointed folks no matter how equitably they try to communicate with everyone.
