Times Square Disney Store Soft Opening 11.4.10 (Upper Floor)

I spent ages watching the magic trees. I'm only putting in a few of the pictures I took, so you can experience the magic (and the Hidden Mickeys) yourselves.

There's a special show that happens every half hour or so. Here's a picture from the show:

I was so entranced by the trees that I nearly missed the NYC-centric decor. I loved seeing the NYC icons and the Disney characters circling the walls.

This floor has the specialized areas, including Tron, Marvel, Cars, Princesses, Fairies, etc. The Princess merchandise is in a castle with a lovely chandelier and magic mirrors.

I'd outstayed my lunch-hour, so it was time to leave.

I'm going to try to go back for the Grand Opening on Tuesday and will try to take more pictures, especially of the other specialized areas, the castle and the theater area.

Thank you so much for posting the report and pictures! It looks amazing!! I'm heading down this afternoon! Can't wait! It's so nice to have a some Disney magic in our Northeast backyard!

Have a great time! I was so overwhelmed by the NYC merchandise that I couldn't decide what to get. I'm going back on Tuesday and will buy something then.

Did you see a Tink fly-by or a celebration at the theater? I thought it was pretty cool. I love it up there, it's my favorite part of the store

I was there for a Villains show and dutifully rubbed my hands together for pixie dust. I even saw Dumbo flying across the wall!
