What a stressful time! Waiting for those letters and wondering where your child will be come September. And then dealing with the pressure your son/daughter is feeling, too! The other night she crawled into bed next to me and said she didn't want to go to college. I told her she could take a year off, that would be fine with us, etc...but she was just venting. She got two acceptances so far, and two wait listed, and hasnt heard yet from two. She said this will be the most difficult week of her life. :( Who else is on edge, waiting for the future to unfold for your child?

I was where you are a year ago. My DS ended up getting a rejection from his #1 choice. His 3.77 GPA and 23 ACT score was not good enough. He worked harder, retook the ACT and got in. Then came the financial aide packages. The school at the bottom of the list gave him the most money, a full ride. His top choice, after working so hard to get in, --he needed to pay 17,000 a year. My advice is DON'T GIVE UP! He is attending his top choice, is on the wrestling team and paid less then $3,000 for his entire freshman year at a $35,340 a year school. It is a four year award :cool1: (his future's so bright he's gotta wear shades) It seemed like a full time job to me to get him there, but well worth the time and effort. Don't get discouraged it will all work out for you:) She will be just fine. And so will you.

Ahhh...I think the Senior year of high school is the hardest. Kids grow up allot this year, they know they are leaving high school for good, moving on into their college days, saying goodbye to all their childhood (life long) friends. I so believe they go through such a metamorphosis'. And that can be very stressful for them.

But after that year, I really think things start to fly. I can so remember my DS' Senior year of high school. All the decision making they had to do throughout the entire year. But now I have one a Master's and one a Junior in college. Time is flying by. OMG, I cannot believe my Junior's last year is so approaching. College for my DS' has flown by.

Good luck to all you moms, dads, and Seniors. :goodvibes

Ahh! I am so sad that school is going to be over soon. It makes me sad how the past 12 or so years have flowen by. i am going to a community college for a couple years and then transfering becuse i am scared like many people. but good luck to everyon!
