I have been to Disney World once a year for my entire life. And I have my favorites that I always go to. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but this upcoming February I'm going down with my family. We're staying for an entire week, and wanted to try some new stuff. We'll be going to all of the parks, so we're gonna need some ideas/reccomendations from each.

I will list my regulars here, so then you guys can suggest restaurants that are not on this list.

At Magic Kingdom, we usually go to:

- The Crystal Palace
- Casey's Corner
- Tony's Town Square

At Epcot, we usually go to:
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
- The Garden Grill
- Le Cellier Steakhouse
- Electric Umbrella
- Sunshine Season Food Fair

At DHS, we usually go to:

- Pizza Planet
- 50's Prime Time Cafe

At Animal Kingdom, we usually go to:
- Pizzafari
- Tusker House

I love all of these places, but since I'm going with the classic family, we might as well switch it up since we've been to all of these places together.

So, please reccomend any of your favorite restaurants that are NOT on the above list. We are also interested in restaurants at any disney resorts.

And I've heard a little bit about Kona, Ohana, and Dine with the Imagineer at Brown Derby, so if anyone has information on those, that would be much appreciated.

This will help a lot with the decision making process! Thank you :wizard:

Some of our resort faves are:

Boatwright's @ POR - We stay at POR & it's a nice option for the evening you don't feel like going too far to have a nice dinner.

Cape May Cafe Clam Bake @ Beach Club - they've recently added crab legs to the buffet, if that appeals to anyone in your family. My DH is pretty pumped about that!

Whispering Canyon Cafe @ Wilderness Lodge - Pretty good food but loud & sometimes crazy antics among the servers. Great for a fun-loving family!

1900 Park Fare @ GF - Buffet with Cinderella, Prince Charming, & the step mother/sisters. The food is pretty good but the character interaction is great!! Especially if you're willing to ham it up with the step-sisters!! If you go, I recommend the strawberry soup. Yum!

One that is on our to do list for our May trip but we've never tried before is Turf Club Bar & Grill @ Saratoga Springs. I have been reading lots of great reviews of it. Apparantly, it is the "hidden gem" in WDW, according to many different sources. The pics I've seen look extra delish!

I'm far from a WDW expert, but based on your tastes I'd say:

Rose and Crown - we thought the food was tasty and enjoyed sitting outside. The Beer was good too.

Biergarten - it's a nice buffet and fun atmosphere.

Sci Fi - Food is good, not amazing. THe atmosphere is fun to try at least once.

Raglan Road - Downtown Disney - The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is nice. I didn't have a full dinner though. Just drinks, appetizer and dessert.

I've also eaten at Coral Reef (Food is good, not amazing. Tank is cool), Sanaa (very good, nice atmosphere but might be adventurous for your family), and The Wave (very tasty, a bit upscale).

HI!
we enjoyed cape may cafe breakfast
i thought starring rolls at HS was yummy for lunch
we enjoyed la haciena and via napoli at epcot
DTD if u go we leally liked portobellos
we went to many more but here a start:)
enjoy!

Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom is a great counter-service option. Salads, chicken, Fish and chips, etc.

Wolfgang Puck's Express in Downtown Disney, is, in my opinion, the best counter-service food at Walt Disney World.

Raglan Road is another great Downtown Disney restaurant. If you like Irish food, alcohol, and Celtic music, this is a great place to try. It's a traditional Irish pub, and has a live band and stepdancer Monday - Saturday starting at 8PM.

Starring Rolls is a great lunch option at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The sandwiches are good, and the desserts are from the Brown Derby kitchen.

Flametree Barbeque at Animal Kingdom has pretty good ribs, pulled pork, etc.

You have similar tastes to ours, as many of the restaurants you listed are high on our lists as well! I'll note some of the other places we frequent, so you can check out the menus and see if they'd fit your family.

At MK, we like Liberty Tree Tavern. Also in the area are The Wave (at the Contemporary) and Kona Cafe (Poly), both worth a stop.

At Epcot, we like Rose & Crown. We're also trying Via Napoli and La Hacienda de San Angel on our upcoming trip.

At DHS, we like Brown Derby (it's expensive, though) and Sci-Fi (burgers, fries, onion rings, and milk shakes are all great -- the rest is sort of "meh" to us).

I have no suggestions for AK. Like you, we love Tusker House. Boma's fine, too, but to us not really worth the bus trip trip to Animal Kingdom Lodge given that Tusker House is in the park. We'd like to try Jiko (also at AKL) sometime, but haven't yet, so I can't recommend that. We usually end up eating lunch at Tusker House and then dinner at Flame Tree BBQ.

Have a great trip!

Cape May Cafe at The Beach Club is another of our favourites, although its a buffet, which puts alot of people off, the food is fantastic and plentiful!!

Maya Grill at Coronado Springs was a lovely surprise, I didn't have any expectations for this place but it was great, and really quiet!

We have an upcoming trip in Jan with the DxDP so we will be going to all these restaurants plus some new ones. I hope the new ones are as good as the fav's.

On our last trip (Oct 24-29) we picked a few places we hadn't tried:

Via Napoli: Had a great lunch there. DH LOVED the lasagne. Neither of us had pizza, but they looked really good as they walked by:goodvibes My chicken salad (chopped salad) was huge and I could have shared it.

Yak and Yeti: A surprise!! Had duck and it was delish! Didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Duck can be greasy, tough and stringy--but this was really good.:thumbsup2

And, drumroll please......our newest and most favorite place, Cat Cora's Kouzina on the Boardwalk. Had a fantastic dinner (I had the Fisherman's stew) and was so impressed, we had and unplanned breakfast there, too.:wizard:

Here's our faves:

MK: Crystal Palace (breakfast), Pecos Bills, Tony's Town Square, Casey's Corner
EPCOT: Biergarten, Nine Dragons
DHS: Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time (the smores are so yummy!)
AK: Flame Tree
Resorts: 1900 Park Fare (both breakfast and dinner), Chef Mickey's (breakfast)

We like most of the places on your list (haven't been to Norway - 2 boys have no interest in princesses), so I'll tell you some of our other favorites:

MK: We really enjoyed our lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was delicious and I would definitely go again. The lunch menu appealed more to me than dinner. For CS, we like Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's.

EP: We LOVED Tutto Italia last year. It was really really good and I can't wait to go again. We almost always eat CS at Sunshine Seasons.

DHS: We often eat at Backlot Express. They have a pretty good burger and I like the turkey sandwich. We've had good meals at Mama Melrose too.

AK: We have the same favorites as you!

Resorts: For TS, we like Chef Mickey's, Whispering Canyon, Cape May dinner. We don't eat much CS at the resorts, but did like Pop's food court pretty well, and enjoy the Coronado Springs' Pepper Market.

i have also been almost once a year since forever...
Animal kindgom: Flametree bbq and also try the andapur tea company! they have amazing teas, and hot cocoas! i discovered it by surprise!

Epcot: Garden grill is good if you have kids...we love to eat at the biergarten in germany lost of fun and lots of food

magic kingdom: i honestly dont eat much here because i have gotten food poisoning twice over the years (at different times) from two different counter service places...we usually skip eating here and go to Kona or Ohana at polynesian! both are amazing...ohana is great for breakfast

hwood studios: brown derby is EXCELLENT!

Also Boma and Jiko at akl are AMAZING!!! some of the best food ive ever eaten in my entire life!!! in dtd, trex cafe is pretty decent and has a good atmosphere...
Boatwrights dining is good at por
Cali Grill in contemporary is also great!!! too many to choose from! ive learned to venture away from the parks and try the restaurants at resorts...usually they are on the ball everytime!

Check out Boma, loved the food. It was nice to try some thing different. Had a nice time hanging out at the Lodge a bit. Lots of people on the board love Ohana, I thought it was horrible. Bad food, and rushed service. Avoid it at all costs.
