Time to enforce the rules...

Since we seem to be discussing Heelys in the midst of this thread, does anyone know if they sell them in womens size 10? I would love a pair, though I do think I would probably break my ankle wooshing around! Is it bad that I tell my DD's they can't have them, but I look longily at them when I see kids with them?

We just returned from our trip last Saturday and have a few complaints also.

The wheelies - not that big of a deal as long as the kids dont run over people

The smoking - same situation as others - triggers my sons asthma

I thought the parks were clean considering all of the people that go thru there everyday

Our room at All star Sports was another issue. Not clean at all. We were there for 7 days and the same hair (left it there on purpose just to see if any cleaning was getting done!) was on the bathroom floor from when we got there. The carpet is totally gross. Beds terrible.

Our next trip will definately be at POR.

Also - what is the deal with parents that insist on keeping their children out so long that they are crying and screaming and need to go to bed???

Also - the rude people on the buses. I cant count how many people wont get up and let a child or mother/child sit.

Other than that - we had a magical time :)

The parks looked clean enough when I was there a month ago.

I did notice people smoking outside designated areas -- and I find that annoying -- but I tend to hope that they do not know the rules and arent' doing it on purpose.

As for the heelys -- are they really against the rules? I was looking at them quite longingly after a full day of walking the parks. I thought the whole family on heelys sounded like a good idea. :)

LOL!!! I DID NOT TYPE "FORCE", I TYPED "FORTH"!!!!!!! My keyboard is not playing nice with me!

Yep, that braille van started it all!!! :rotfl2: I guess us boring suburban housewives need to unite! We could start a movement!!:grouphug:

What kind of a movement could we start? :rotfl2:

mikesmom97, in general, I very much disagree with you on the buses. Why should I, after waiting in line for a bus, stand and give my seat away so a child can sit down? That family can wait for another bus if they want to sit down, just like we sometimes did. The exception in my book is for a true elderly person or someone who is obviously pregnant. I would give up my seat for either of those people and not expect them to wait for another bus, but anyone else can wait or stand or wait. When my kids were younger, I would pull them onto my lap (or have my child stand next to me) to make room so that more people could sit, only to have someone have sit their child down. So my child was then on my lap or standing so their child could sit. I stopped doing that.

I agree. We wait for a seat on the bus when necessary. No matter how it looks, my feet are killing me at the end of the day and there is no way I could handle standing on the ride back to the resort. I imagine the same is true for the rest of the people others think should be giving up their seats.

If you don't want to stand, wait for the next bus.

That's my vote also, but if I recall correctly, this issue turns into a rather heated war every time it is brought up.

In the past week (about a week), I have made two references to "that kind of movement". Let's see if you can find them, miss smarty pants. :rotfl: But we shouldn't get this any more off topic, so you have to post where you find the references (and one is very easy). Are you up for the challenge? :teeth:

eclectics, yes, it does get heated!
