Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

Hey.. how ya been??? :wave2:

You doing a PTR or a TR for your trip?

We are excited... just counting down the days!!!!

We have been doing great! I am terrible, I can't seem to finish a PTR or a TR, so I am thinking about it and have not started one, YET! Maybe as we get closer. :) I just finished reading your Oct. 2009 TR, it was great, I really enjoyed it.

How's your weekend going??

Get those tickets packed yet?? MJ make it home yet?

Katmark: I'm so pleased to hear the progress of your brother and I'll continue to pray and send positive thoughts! :lovestruc

Hi Tim!! I'm grinning ear to ear because I know how close you're getting!! YIPPEE!!! This is for Juliana: :banana::banana::banana:

I'm loving your weather forecast if it holds up! I know it's bound to be warmer than where you are so I'm wishing you positive vibes on the weather! :)

Ok, I got to get a jab in on the tickets too! DON'T FORGET TO PACK YOUR TICKETS!! I'm really feeling good about you NOT forgetting them this time, but if not, we all get to say, "see I told you so!" :rotfl: J/K!

You were talking about phones so I wanted to mention our recent adventures. My DH and I have had Sprint for years. I have just a "basic" phone so I can text and talk and have no internet (by choice). My DH on the other hand likes it fully loaded :rotfl2: so he can do business stuff on it. He's gone through about three phones in the last couple of years and they all had issues or didn't function the way they should for what he was paying. He's had his recent Blackberry for a little while and kept complaining, made numerous calls to Sprint and finally decided to take my advice and look at the iPhone. I know 100% his mind was changed once he saw my iPod Touch I got for Xmas. It rocks! :lovestruc So, he switched over to At&t and is in love with his iPhone. I have also heard they can break easy so he knows to be extra careful with it and we have a cover and a screen protector on it. I know you have a contract to ride out but so far he's very pleased with the switch - he says it's night and day difference.

I can't wait to read your live reports (at night). We're going to be spoiled! I just made the final payment on our trip yesterday and we just did our GAD volunteering on Thursday night so it's starting to feel real now. Remember, it's a surprise for my DS so I have to be ssh... about it!

Enjoy your last weekend at home!! :cool1:
Heather

And I'm sure it will go by just like that! It always does. :sad2:
I know... year of planning and it's over in a flash! Sounds like a wedding!

You know I love you...but you are a man! ;)
I know.... I know. ;)
I usually don't eat steak when I go out to restaurants. I like to get things that I can't (or don't want) to cook at home. I'm pretty sure I'll be making an exception on Tuesday. :yay:
MMMMMM I jealous!!!!

Here are a couple desserts from there.

I think my next TR is going to be crazy! LOL

If you start one, let me know.. I'd love to follow along! :goodvibes

How's your weekend going??

It's going OK.. worked last night and have to work tomorrow. I'm going to spend the day hanging out with my girls... (no not those girls!! :lmao:.. well then again... :rolleyes1)

Just heard last night that Tuesday into Wednesday, the North East could have a huge Noreaster. I'm going to be calling Jetblue to see if possibly, we can get out a day early without having to pay an arm & a leg. So maybe my Cinderella ticker will be right! I also have to call priceline to see if we left early, how it would work with the car.

Doing some packing today! Tickets are first on the list!!! Sill no word on MJ. :sad2:

Last night I found out that a DISer, whose daughter (3) has a rare form of cancer and went on a wish trip this past year, has relapsed. The doctors have basically told them that she isn't responding to chemo and she is going to have to make some very hard decisions.

I was sick to my stomach. I couldn't really get into the DISing mood. I re-read her TR and she really need prayers.

Unfortunately today I recieved the news I was dreading. Mya's AFP has in fact risen to over 5000 and marks a definite relapse. There is not really anymore treatment options left so I can do nothing but let her live out the rest of her life. This is so cruel and we need everyone's prayers right now. Thank you.

Please add this brave little girl Mya and her mom Shardai to you prayers. They really need them.

:rotfl: That's one of the things I love about these boards - conversations get carried over from one P/TR to the next and if you aren't following all of them, so many things can just fly over your head. :lmao:

That is so heartbreaking. :( They will definitely be in my thoughts.

Sounds like your weekend is about to get better... :rolleyes1

You need to call and get that flight rearranged RIGHT NOW! Better an extra day than NO days!

No luck with priceline... since I bid for my car you can't change the reservation. One downside of bidding for a car. I'm going to call alamo and see if I can book a car for one day then just 'roll' that reservation into my priceline reservation. There goes my $73 savings! :badpc::badpc:

I'm on hold with Jetblue now... gonna se what my options are and if it is worth trying to change flights. Mel also has to see if she can get out of work on Tuesday. :confused3

EDIT:: Jet blue is doing nothing for next week now. They are still working on this past storm. If I wanted to change to Tuesday now it would cost me the difference of fares plus $50 change fee.
217(price now)-88(what I payed)+50(change fee)=179x3=$537

My flights cost me $600 so it would be basically doubled to move up a day.

They said to keep monitoring their site and it they issue a weather advisory, then some fees are waved and they try to get you out anyway they can.

I had read earlier in BBC or Fox (?) that ahead of the storm, airlines WERE letting people make changes to ressies. Good luck!!

That just breaks my heart. :sad1: I will keep them in my prayers.

I hope the storm doesn't screw up your flight (or JetBlue will waive some of those fees)!

There's no way I'd do that for $600! That's way too much! In fact, I may consider (if it were me) driving; like maroo did last time she went. How long would it take?? Certainly you could do it in 2 days, right?? OK, maybe not, but you could HoJo it somewhere cheapo AND save the rental car price tag. :confused3

Praying for your friend.

As for the flight- I've seen airlines post on thier site a few hours before a storm is going to hit but not days. Usually it is something really generalized like if you have a flight in/out of x, x, or x state, then you can change for no fees. So if anything happens I think you will be good on fees. It's really rare that they shut down an entire airport though. A lot of times it's just delays for clearing the runway and deicing the planes.

I love my iPhone. It's my first "real" phone. I think a hard case is the key. I've dropped mine a million times. It's also a life saver for bored little girls!

You are leaving soon! The weather looks decent. Packing:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about your friends.....prayers for sure.

We will see what happens... I think I will have a better grasp of what is going on tomorrow.

If I drove- 1,199 mi – about 18 hours 59 mins according to google maps. Mel would not be feeling that.. plus the fact I would be driving right into the storm. I really wouldn't like getting stuck on the highway. I guess we will just wait it out and go with the flow.

We are flying out of White Plains, NY which is a small airport. It was totally shut down on Thursday & 1/2 of Friday. I'll just be hoping for the best and try not to stress about something I can't control.

Glad your iphone has been good to you. One of my friends is on his 3rd iphone since December... glad I'm not paying for that.

We are getting there... couple more days to go! The temps for the first part of our trip have gone down a few degrees but still not horrible.

Thanks... they will appreciate all the prayers.

good luck with the temps...at least it's in the 60s....except did you see today? it's cold today at WDW.

Poor girl..I will definately be thinking/prayer for her! :guilty:

I can't believe how cold it is in FL right now!
