Nope.

I am having issues. Lisa won't tell me what she wants to do while we are there. We are only there Friday evening, Saturday and Sun AM. Sun is the half. We will need to be in bed early on Saturday.

I guess I need to make us some ressies...and just tell her about them?

She won't talk to me about Disney - she can't see past today.

Maybe you can have a later dinner on Friday or a nice late lunch on Saturday. I'm sorry to hear that Lisa is having a hard time right now. Is Lauren feeling any better?

If the child requests Disney or Universal or Sea World, then they are taken care of through GKTW.

GKTW houses something like 95% of the children going to Disney on a Wish Trip. When we went, GKTW was full, so they told us they could either reschedule the dates or put us up at Disney. Because of Lauren's mobility issues and the additional medical needs in the family, they said that they wanted us in a monorail resort - so we got the Contemporary. Nice!

It was probably best for Lauren's trip to do it that way...but for someone younger - GKTW is the way to go!

I believe you would certainly have the option. She could always wish to stay at GKTW. But how would she know about it?

If she did decide on Disney (which if we did this in the next 1-2 years I'm sure she would) then I guess we could ask for GKTW if they put us up somewhere different.

Yeah...sometimes I yell at them through my iPhone! But I have met three of them in real life and they are the nicest guys! They have a lot of Disney knowledge...but if you sit on the boards hours each day...well...you know more than most cast members!

LOL.. They joke around, which is fine, but at least they don't talk over each other like the DIS podcast. I'm sure they are fun people.. they come across that way.

I technically didn't start the concept...a lady named Wendy, who had a child going on a wish trip, started it.

But I have really enjoyed getting to know all of the wish families! They are a neat group of folks! I figure that's nice may one day be one of our wish trippers! Unless Juliana wishes for something different, which would be great, too!

I never knew about Wendy... You do a great job answering everyone's questions and keep many of the families from freaking out! LOL

I'm sure Disney would be high on her list.. This is a Disney everyday household!

And that trip....the MaGiCaL one....

Was the most magical day...EVER. I can't think of one more magical off the top of my head.

For the original call. I got through at 8am PST.

I was laughing because I finally got what you wrote on All7ofUS's thread about "clang clang clang goes the trolley"

I made all the ADRs for the family portion of the trip

I called back and didn't really have too many issues getting through at about 12:30pm PST. These ADRs were for the solo portion of the trip.

You like Kona for Breakfast? Hmmm......I may have to look at my ADRs again.....

I got some great ADR's booked this morning online too! Even snagged LeCellier so now we can see if it's worth all the hype.

The clang clang was the first song I heard while I was on hold! LOL I was so excited that I was in the que! I'm glad you got all you wanted and so close to your times.. just like me! Hurray for us!

Those days look really good! Low crowds!

I had the filet at LeCellier last March and it was awesome! I eat filet often and this was up there with the best. We had some great deserts too!

We are thinking about when to do Juliana's Wish trip. Maybe once we get through the holidays we will decide on something.

I also looked at where you're from. My brother recently moved from sunny CA to Eastern CT to a little town called Plainfield. He drives and takes the train to New Haven(?) as he works at Yale...My niece is a freshman at UCONN and just pledged KKR...

I just watched my Yankees lose to the Phillies. But I do have a few thoughts and some good news!

First about the ADRs. Yes it was hectic going through that yesterday but it was so totally worth it!!! This was the only way that someone staying offsite like we are this trip could get what we got! Plus being out 135 days helps too. If you are on the ADR site you can play around with dates and get ADRs to CRT for lunch and dinner the whole week we are going to be there 3/6-3/16. What does this mean??? I have no idea. Could it be the economy, maybe a lot of people didn't realize that the window went back to 180 days. I can only think that this is going to be good for us.

Second, I bought our airline tickets tonight!!! We are leaving Wednesday 3/3 8am, flying to Tampa then driving to Bradenton. We fly home Tuesday 3/16 4:20 landing at 7pm. I guess this makes the trip a little more real!

EDIT:: I forgot to add the Tickets cost us $608. Not too bad!

Plainfield is about a 25 minute drive from here. UCONN is about 70minutes from where I live. Both my parents went to Uconn and my brother did as well. He was a cheerleader and has a women's and men's basketball national championship rings. GO Huskies!

2 weeks of Florida in March! Usually I'm done with winter around this time. It should work out nicely. Now I need to make some $$$$$ this trip is going to cost a lot! Maybe send Melody to work some OT!
