Time spent purchasing tickets?

How much time should I allow in the morning to purchase our tickets at the park/booth? Is it a slow moving process?

I would defently not recommend getting tickets at the TTC or at any maingate. Go to a Disney Store, Order Online, AAA, etc...

This will at least save you that time, that would be wasted waiting in line while everyone with tickets blows by you.

We arrived at the Poly very late on a Fri. p.m. last Nov and ended up purchasing our AP's at the TTC the following a.m. around 9. I was definitely not looking forward to this on a Sat. a.m. I envisioned major crowds and lines of people. Surprisingly, there were not many people purchasing tickets. We went to the first line on the left. No one was there. We had our 4 passes within 15 mins.

I would definetly suggest arriving about 1/2 hour before the park actually opens. Then you can be in the front of the line to purchase tickets. But as Mike said, if there is any way you can get them prior to leaving, it would be one less thing to worry about (and stand in line for!). Take care!

Last year, the Military Salute tickets were for 7 days, and had to be used consecutively, like UPH's. On our very first morning there, we had a PS for CRT 1 hour before the park was opening. We couldn't get them the day before because we needed the full 7 days. I was so worried we weren't going to make it. We were the very first car in the parking lot, and then waited for the monorail to open. Us and 3 other families with PS's were the first on the monorail, and the first to get there. We got some GREAT pictures then. Anyway, we explained our situation at the gate, and they opened up the ticket window just for us......still over an hour before the park was even opening, and there was no EE at that time.

I should have probably mentioned that we're only spending two days at Disney and understand you can't order a 2-day ticket ahead of time. So, I'm assuming this is the only way to get them-at the window. Thanks for all the advice though.

Yes, you'll have to get them at tkt window. I have CM tkts that I have to exchange for hopper and I have waited in line for 30 min. +. You do know that hopper tkts. never expire. If you got a 4 day hopper (actually save couple $$ if purchased at DS before you go) then someday when you return to WDW you can use the 2 days left on the pass. It might be worth getting these.
