Time question: From plane landing, car rental to Contemporary checkin, how long?

What would be a typical timeframe to check in at the Contemporary if we are scheduled to arrive in MCO at 1:20pm and then head over to Emerald Aisle to p/u rental? Do you think we will get to the hotel by 3pm? I'm trying to decide what to do our first day and a lot depends on what time we arrive and if we can get both arrival and departure days taken off our Stars and Stripes passes (the SoG website says it must match hotel stay!)

I just checked my notes, my plane landed at 12:32PM, we got luggage, our car from National Emerald Choice, stopped at the McDonald's at the Crossroads and had lunch, then went to the Contemporary, pulling in the Contemporary at 2:28PM.

This past December, we arrived at MCO at approx. 3:30 on the Saturday before Christmas. We were picked up by a car service (had a wait a bit for the driver to recover his car form the lot), checked into the CR (where I had to wait in a line for about 15 min.), went to our room and waited for bell services to bring our luggage. We still made it (walking) to the MK with about 20 minutes to spare before the 6:00 Spectromagic. So, barring anything major happening, you can be there and ready to go close to that timeframe. The numbers probably hedge either way depending on the time and day of the week, but two hours is a good guess.

I think you should be able to do it. On our May trip last year, our plane landed about 11:40 and we were at OKW well before 1:00 using Emerald Aisle. Our luggage was already going around when we got to baggage claim. However, on our December trip we hit a snag waiting for luggage, 3 flights came in at the same time (USAirways). We didn't get to BW until about 1:30.

Just as a guestimate, for us it seems I can figure from when we arrive at MCO to when we arrive at the resort is 1.5 hours. (If all goes well.)

I must be the odd man out - I usually land at 9:40, get the bags, leave the airport by 10:15 and get to the resort in 20-30 minutes.
