I searched a little and din't see an answer to my question...so forgive me if this has been covered. But does anyone know what time the boats start running to the MK when it is a 7:00 EMH?

I know, I know, doing an EMH goes against my (and most DISers) touring philosophy, but it is an EMH most of the week when we're there and we want to be there for rope drop to bang out the good stuff!

Boats always run about 45 minutes before opening to 90 minutes after closing.

Allow 20 minutes for the ride over plus going through the bag check. I'd say be on the dock at 6:15 for a 7 am opening (last week the official sunrise was at 7:30 a.m. Are you sure it opens at 7? I thought the EMH morning times were only 1 hour early and the evening EMH were 3 hours longer. Someone correct me please....) If that's the time then that's how it works.

Good luck! Get lots of sleep before you hit the MK.

PS - I use the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" and its associated website http://www.touringplans.com and the crowd calendar to plan which park to go to which day. See the best parks/parks to avoid columns

PPS - wow. I checked the crowd calendar and I think you are right. April Park Hours You might want to take a Valium and a shot of rum (banana flavored if possible) before you head for the dock...:scared1:

The green flagged route from the Fort Wilderness Campground to the Magic Kingdom begins running 30 minutes prior to the park opening. Occasionally if the cast members are training or running early it will begin running earlier, but that will never be more than 5-10 minutes earlier.

The blue flagged route around Bay Lake always begins running at 6:45 A.M. regardless of the park hours for the day. Likewise it will always shut down at 11:30 P.M. every night.

So on your day with 7:00 A.M. park openings the boats will begin running at 6:30 A.M. and that is not a day they will begin running early.

Also you can have just as much fun going against the touring guides and doing your own thing, just plan on using fast passes and enjoying the things you can do rather than stressing about the things you miss.

Thanks guys! We're morning people, so we're up around 5:00 anyway regardless ("up with the chickens" as my grandma used to say!) So it isn't like getting ourselves going for rope drop is a big deal. (However, don't even ask me to try for a late night EMH or anything like that!) I'm guessing that a lot of folks won't be up and at 'em that early, so hopefully we'll enjoy some low crowds for a couple of hours.

On that 7:00 am EMH day we plan to be in and out of the MK by lunchtime and back at the Fort for some lounging and relaxation :)
