Southwest announced Jan 27 as their next fare window, does anyone know what time of day?

Thanks,
Bill From PA

It can vary but the last one was around 6:15am EST. I was stalking it as we needed Spring Break fares.

Yes usually around 8am, but as someone else said that one a few days ago we shortly after 6am so you have to keep checking to get first shot at seats.

I checked a little after 6:30 and some flights had already gone up a little.

When they released in October it was a bit before 6:15am EST.

Does not really matter WHEN Southwest posts fares as they use demand pricing frequently prices go DOWN closer to departure date. You can simply rebook the the flights and depending on fare class either get a credit which needs to be used within 1 year or a refund.

Southwest does not have change fees.

I fly them nearly every week for business so am VERY familiar with pricing etc!, With southwest the lowest fare is not the one posted earliest.

In recent memory, SWA has opened dates for booking very early in the day. Typically around 5 a.m. CT. The days of 10 a.m. CT releases ended some time ago (the exception being one Sunday release last year).

When the lowest fares are available may vary based on the airport you fly from and when you fly. While in some cases fares may go down or go on sale closer to travel dates, from many airports and especially at peak travel times the fares released on the first day are the lowest you will see.
