time needed to get to mickeys backyard bbq

sorry, i originally posted this on the wrong thread. can anyone tell me how much time to allow to get to the bbq once we get to fort wilderness. we will be driving there.

Just park at Fort Wilderness and take their bus up to the pavilion. You can also park at Wilderness Lodge and take the boat over.

We went on the 4th of July so it was busier than usual. I had read to get down to the BBQ area about 45-minutes to an hour early. It probably wasn't totally necessary but I was glad I had allotted the time. Parking was a mess (perhaps because of the holiday) and we had to "make up" parking places (we ended up in grass and between to big trailers - we had two cars). People were really having a hard time. Then we were quite aways to the bus and it stopped several times before getting down to the area with all the activities. And then it's a bit of a walk. That said if you are early there are things to do/look at along the way.

So from the time we got to FW, found a spot, walked to the bus and took the bus down it was about a half an hour.
