Not sure where to ask this, so if it should be someplace else, please let me know.
I recently won 5 Park Hopper Passes, and I have a question about them. The back of each pass has the following:
"1 DAY PARK HOPPER 24 MO DONATE W/BO COMP"
Does this mean that they are only good for 2 yrs from the date of issue?
I really hope not, because they would expire 2 months before my next trip :(

:thanks:

Link 1 to your MDX account and check what it states in the Ticket area of MDX.

@Robo would probably be a really good resource for you. Hopefully he'll see this and be able to assist you.
Thanks for the vote of confidence! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately in this case, I'm not sure of the various rules of the multitude of comp tickets nor the meanings of all of their cryptic "codes."

The Comp Ticket’s ‘Valid Through “date”’ does appear in the Tickets and Passes area of MDX. That is probably the easiest way to confirm without calling Ticketing.

Sorry, jumping in here, don't you want to be careful linking them to an account, wouldn't that prevent them from being gifted or sold to another? Can they be unlinked if wanting to do that? I guess I'd make the call before I'd link them.

Tickets can be reassigned by linking MDX accounts. Then after the reassignment, the other MDX person can be deleted.

That’s why it was advised to link only 1 ticket.

OK, so if you want to give to a person you don't know well enough to link accounts to each other for the transfer, then you wouldn't even want one of them linked to you, right? I just want to make sure I understand.

ETA: I'm just trying to find a way for the OP to gift them to me, because I CAN go 2 months before their next trip. ;)

It's no problem to link someone you don't know long enough to move tickets. You do the move, then unlink them. All in one fell swoop.

Each party can make a random new MDX account to make the exchange. It’s just moving digital info using a new account to handle the transaction.

And also, negotiating a ticket trade on the boards isn’t allowed.

One thing that you may not realize: these tickets cannot be modified or upgraded in any way
Just to mention, some comp tickets can be upgraded. Unless you can tell by the code OP posted and know for sure that these particular ones can't be.
