Time has slowed down

When we planned our trip a year ago, it seemed like it would never get here. Actually, the time has passed fairly quickly. But now that we are down to the last few weeks, it is taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r.

Sad thing is I know that it will also be over in a blink of an eye.

Bring on Mickey, a turkey leg, and a cold adult beverage.

This is so true... you plan your vacation for weeks, months even, and it's over before you can say it. Wish they would invent something to slow down time when one is having fun!

Maybe if we refuse to blink that proverbial eye...

I hear you! We started planning in March of 2013 and I remember thinking, "Wow! It is SO FAR away!" but then, just like that, we were at our FP+ day and it really didn't seem like it had taken all that long to get there. Since then, however, it seems like time has just come to a grinding halt! We leave 50 days from today, but it feel like another 50 weeks! It doesn't help that this trip is a complete surprise for my kiddos, so I've been having to keep a GIANT secret for this long as well, LOL!

We are at 27 days and it feels like forever too!!!! But I also know the week we are there will fly by too. First time visit for my DH

Same here!!! Time is crawling. It's especially slow because our neighbours and friends leave the day after tomorrow. So seeing their pre-trip excitement when we have 4 weeks to go is adding to the slooooowwww wait.

However, I do find when we are one week out time flies. I get super anxious about all that needs to be done and last minute details and errands. It seems like I wait wait and wait some more and then there isn't enough time to get it all done!

It's been a long year.. I just want to be away with my family!

I sure hope the last week flies by, because this week has c-r-a-w-l-e-d by! Now that I'm 8 days out I'm really going to try and keep myself busy with trip preparations to make time move faster!
