Time from Mine Train to Chef Mickeys?

1. I know we waited a while to be seated the last two times we ate there.
2. I hate to be late but you can only work within the system.

1. Very common at super-busy restaurants. 'Ohana is another example.
It all fits my line, "Everybody is late at WDW." (Which includes many of the WDW food venues, themselves.)

2. Again... Yes.

You can enter 5 minutes early for your FP so be ready to go at 1:30.

And don't take the monorail. Just walk over.

Good thought. I'll take it one step further. I'd take a risk and send 1 or 2 people who can walk faster ahead of the rest of the pack to check in. I've NEVER been seated anywhere close to my ADR time, even though I've always shown up on time. I'd expect that you'll be sitting for at least 10 minutes after checking in.

Check for a new FP time for Mine Train at 30 days out. I wasn't happy with the one I got at 60 days and at the 30 day window its like they opened up a bunch more times for those with offsite reservations. I had no trouble moving my FP to a better time!

Have you tried looking into splitting up your group of 11 into smaller groups for your fastpasses at 7DMT? There's usually more FP availability for smaller groups compared to one set time for a large group, e.g. splitting into groups of 4, 4, and 3, and the breakdown is something like group 1 FP from 12:30-1:30, another 12:40-1:40, and the third at 12:45-1:45. Then you could all go during the time that overlaps, and be finished well before the ADR.
