How many minutes is it before six o'clock if fifty minutes ago it was four times as many minutes past three o'clock?

I was disappointed in myself that I couldn't figure out yesterday's riddle w/ the bridge and the flashlight ..... can someone post the answer please , at which time I'll probably smack myself in the head because I should have figured it out ....or because I should have had a V-8

1 & 2 go across (2 mins)

1 comes back (1 min)

3 & 4 go across (10 mins)

2 comes back ( 2 mins)

1 & 2 go across ( 2 mins)

The fourth step was the key. People forget that someone who was already there from a prior move can come back.

Think you're right about the "key" .... I wasn't thinking of sending back someone who was already there for a couple of turns already ....... I did much better with this type of problem when it was the two fighting animals, the bag of feed and the boat .... anyone remember that one ??? (sorry I don't remember all the details.... but only so many could go over at once, a certain animal couldn't be left w/ the food, etc) ....

Now it's time to think about time
