I am confused. I see where in April, Spectro is at 9 pm and some guidebooks say Wishes is at 10 pm and others say directly after Spectro. I also read Specto is 20 minutes and so I am wondering , is there a large time gap between the two. What do you do? Do keep you spot or move for better viewing? We have a kids 6, 4 and 1 and are afraid of the mass exit, but we hate to miss these. We will be using Disney buses. Any ideas? I am just thinking, waiting an hour before Spector and another 40 min. for Wishes is a lot of waiting. Thanks!

It takes a while for Spectro to move through along the parade route, so depending on where you position yourself for the parade kind of factors in how long you have to wait for Wishes. We usually stay put between them, and sometimes send someone to get a snack.

There will be plenty going on to watch and observe while you wait in between. You're at Disney -- you're going to wait for something! :) Just relax and be patient. We usually wait 10 or 15 minutes for the mass exedous to pass before we leave. Disney knows many people will leave at the same time and makes sure there are lots of busses running at that time.

Sit back, relax and enjoy! :)

If the parade is at 9, it's not going to pass through the whole park in 20 minutes -- so if the parade starts at Main Street, and you're waiting for it by Splash Mountain, you won't see the start of it until 9:20 or so. That may make it a tight timeline if you then want to move closer to the hub for Wishes. After our trip in '03, DH and I decided that we would always either do Spectro and Wishes on separate nights, or catch a night where there were two Spectro parades, and stay for the later one. We find it a lot easier to find a spot close to the hub this way.

Yep.
AND, since Spectro is completely "timed" buy a computer program,
it is nearly EXACTLY REPEATABLE every night (assuming it starts on time... and almost ALWAYS does).

My favorite parade SPOT is in Frontierland right next to the "Turkey Leg" stand.
If its a 9pm start, Spectro reaches that spot at precisely 9:24pm. (I love to AMAZE the WDW newbies by "predicting" the EXACT arrival time).;)

After the parade (during Jiminy Cricket's closing remarks), we high-tail it right over to SPLASH MT. (its just a very short distance away) and can ride it (everyone else is still at the parade route) and exit before the 10pm Wishes.

We view Wishes from the BRIDGE that goes toward Splash from Frontiereland (the parade route "street".)
Its a great viewing spot, if you don't want to crowd onto Main Street.

Robo - Sounds like a great plan! Maybe we'll try it that way. We always watch Wishes from the bridge from Tomorrowland.

Great tips. We have always sayed put to enjoy wishes after specto, but I may have to reconcider next time!

Good tip! Thanks! I think we will try to hop on something between the parade and Wishes! We always watch from Tomorrowlands side.
