Seems like I sure come here to the DIS family a lot, especially lately, with requests. But, you all care so much and that is most appreciated.
Marie again is involved with tests. Late last year, she had her 'routine' follow-up mammogram, done twice yearly, following her breast cancer in '98. There were 'some things' they did not like in what they saw. So, a second mammo. That prompted an MRI (an 'open' one as Marie is claustrophobic), which was 'inconclusive'. Banter back and forth with surgeon and oncologist as to whether to do a biopsy then (mid Jan). Decision then was to wait a month, do another mammo, and see.
Well, mammogram done about a month ago, inconclusive again, do them again, in a few weeks. That was yesterday. Marie was there for about 3 hours, many shots. Radiologist wants an MRI, not an 'open', but rather a regular MRI (closed) to get conclusive results in order to pinpoint area/s to do biopsy.
So, at a minimum, Marie has to do a claustrophobic MRI in the coming days, probably within 2 weeks, and then a biopsy, hopefully showing she is fine. So that's it, another request for your good thoughts, and inclusion in prayers from those who pray. We have appreciated so much from so many in the past, and thank you again, family you all are.
